Deep Tissue Massage focuses on relieving long-standing muscle tightness deep inside the body. It uses diverse methods to reach and relax muscles under the top layer, helping to ease tension and pain. Utilizing oils, lotions, hot towels, and hot stones, Becky will administer slow strokes, direct pressure, or friction movements that traverse the muscle grain. By applying pressure with her fingers, thumbs, and occasionally elbows, she can effectively target and release tension. Deep Tissue Massage is particularly beneficial for addressing persistent areas of tension, such as stiff necks, tight lower backs, and sore shoulders. While it shares some techniques with Classic Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage involves slower movements and deeper, more concentrated pressure aimed at areas of tension and pain.
